What data we process

Business details you enter for the check: company name, industry, city and optionally your website. These are sent to the AI engines (OpenAI, Anthropic, Perplexity and Google) as part of the questions, because the check cannot work without it.

Your email address, if you request the full report, contact us or leave interest in a subscription.

If you contact us through the form, we process your name, email address and the content of your message so we can reply.

If you subscribe, we process your account and billing details: email address, chosen plan, subscription status and a customer reference at our payment provider. Your card details never reach us; they go straight to Stripe.

Technical data: an encrypted derivation of your IP address to prevent abuse of the free check and the contact form, and your check results so we can show the report.

What we use it for

To run the check and to show and email your report. After the report we send at most two short follow-up mails; every mail has a working unsubscribe link that takes effect immediately.

We do not sell data and only share it with the processors listed below.

When you request the full report, we also create an account for you on that email address. Signing in is passwordless via an email link; the account does not commit you to anything and can always be deleted via info@emphanic.com.

Where your data lives

Database: Supabase, EU region. Email: Amazon SES, Frankfurt region (eu-central-1). Hosting: Vercel. Inbound mail: ImprovMX. Payments and billing: Stripe. Analytics: Google Analytics; Google Analytics uses cookies and processes your shortened IP address among other things, under Google's terms.

The AI engines (OpenAI, Anthropic, Perplexity, Google) receive the questions including your business details and process them under their own terms.

Some of these parties are outside the EU. We work with them on the basis of the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

Retention and deletion

We keep check results to keep your report available and to improve the product. We keep email addresses until you unsubscribe or ask for deletion. Messages sent through the contact form are kept as long as needed to handle your question.

Billing records must be kept longer by law, so they fall outside a deletion request while that period runs.

Want everything about you or your business deleted? Email info@emphanic.com and we will remove it within 30 days.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct and delete your data, and to object to processing. Email info@emphanic.com. If we cannot work it out, you can file a complaint with your data protection authority.
